The University of Oregon Dean's Scholarship is awarded to academically successful prospective freshmen upon admission to the UO. In 2008-9, Dean's Scholarships range from $500 to $6,000 per year, renewable for up to 12 terms of undergraduate study.
Established in 1999, the University of Oregon Dean's Scholarship is made possible by the success of The Oregon Campaign.

In order to be considered for a Dean's Scholarship a student must:
- Be an entering freshmen.
- Have a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.6.
- Meet all current UO freshman admission requirements.
- Have not have attended another college after graduation from high school.

Prospective students must submit the UO Undergraduate Admission Application to the Office of Admissions, postmarked on or before January 15, 2008. No supplemental scholarship application is required.

Selection is based on high school GPA and coursework. Students with a combined SAT score of 1350 are also considered. No supplemental scholarship application is required. Once awarded, Dean's Scholars must maintain honorable grades for the remainder of high school.

Dean's scholarships are renewable for up to 12 terms, providing recipients meet the following
conditions:
- Earn a 3.00 cumulative UO grade point average if awarded fall 2006 or after.
- Earn a 3.25 cumulative UO grade point average if awarded prior to fall 2006.
- Be enrolled in and complete a minimum of 12 UO credits per term.
- Meet additional terms and conditions specified in the Dean's Scholarship award letter.
