The Live Like a Duck concept was created because we feel that it is very important for you and your family to make sound financial decisions while attending the University of Oregon.
What Does it Mean to Live Like a Duck?
The students at the University of Oregon are unique in many different areas: they are champions on and off the field, and are leaders in the world when they graduate. Our students come from many different socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. We believe that college is fun but that it doesn’t have to break the bank.
We have created a few tools to help you get going such as a spending log and budget worksheet. These are just guides and in no way dictate how you should spend your money. We’ll be honest when it comes to making changes to the way you think about and use money, it’s tough. Don't worry it's possible and we're here to help.
You may find out through some trial and error how to handle your money, but we are keen on helping you avoid the error. In the end though, it’ll be worth it. Knowing where your money is going will allow you to buy the things you really want in the future.
