Veteran Services at the University of Oregon

The University of Oregon welcomes students who have served our country as members of the armed forces. The Office of Admissions, partnering with colleagues in the UO Office of Veterans Affairs and the State of Oregon's Department of Veterans Affairs, assists veterans in making a seamless transition from military service to the campus community. Significant resources are in place to aid in that transition.

Families Impacted by the Current Financial Downturn

The current economic climate may cause students and families to question their ability to continue to pay for an education from the University of Oregon. Please contact our office to discuss the possible support we may be able to provide if you have experienced a decrease in family income due to job loss, company cutbacks or other financial setbacks.

You may find that by contacting us it may be possible for our office to make adjustments to the financial aid award of students offered loans or grants. Additionally, it is still possible for students and parents that have yet to apply for financial aid to obtain fixed-interest federal loans for the 2009-10 academic year.

Questions and Answers Regarding Tuition Increases at the University of Oregon

The State Board of Higher Education met in July 2009 and decided to increase tuition for students in the Oregon University System. The actual increase varies according to the number of credits a student carries and whether they are paying in-state or out-of-state tuition.
