The yearly limit on a Graduate PLUS is equal to the students yearly Estimated Student Expenses/Cost of Attendance minus any other financial aid the student receives. The student must have applied for their annual loan maximum eligibility under the Federal Subsidized and Unsubsidized Stafford Loan program before applying for the Graduate PLUS.  For example, if the cost of attendance is $30,202 and the student receives $18,500 in other financial aid, the student could borrow up to—but no more than—$11,702.

Student Financial Aid - $18,500
Maximum limit of Graduate PLUS for the academic year - $11,702
Maximum limit of Graduate PLUS per term - $3,900 ($11,702 divided by 3 terms)
