Stand Up To Distracted Driving Scholarship
Distracted driving, including due to texting and other cell phone use, is a serious issue that leads to hundreds of thousands of accidents and injuries in the United States each year. The problem is especially prominent among teen and young adult drivers, and teens are also at a greater risk of being the victim of a distracted driving accident.At Kanoski Bresney, we want to support students who do their part to fight the problem of distracted driving. Through the Kansoki Bresney Stand Up to Distracted Driving Scholarship program, we are offering five scholarships, in the amount of $1,000 each, to students in the U.S. who are pursuing higher education at the undergraduate or graduate level

Patriots Path Scholarship
This scholarship aims to support JROTC and ROTC participants by making college more affordable and accessible.
Any high school senior in JROTC or undergraduate student in ROTC who has at least a 3.0 GPA may apply for this scholarship.

Youth Equine Service Scholarship
Many non-profit Equine organizations would not be able to function or thrive without the support of their volunteers. This scholarship seeks to reward students who love working with horses and giving back to the community.
Any current student who loves working with horses and has experience working with a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization may apply for this scholarship.

NSF Science Pathways
Oregon Pathways to Industry Research Careers (OPIRC) is a $4.3M National Science Foundation grant that will support 64 students with financial need as they move through community college to high-wage science and engineering careers.
Students may qualify for up to $45,000 in scholarships over the course of 4 years, with eligibility beginning their final year at community college, continuing through their pursuit of a bachelor’s in physics, chemistry or biochemistry at University of Oregon, and finally while pursuing an industry-focused master’s through the UO Knight Campus Graduate Internship Program (KCGIP).
In addition to scholarships, students will have access to:
- Career and academic mentoring.
- Community-building activities.
- Professional networking opportunities.
The final stage of OPIRC, enrollment in the KCGIP, leads directly to industry employment through a 9-month paid industry internship within the manufacturing, high-tech and healthcare fields (specifically: semiconductors, optics, polymers, sensors, and bioinformatics). The 2022 cohort received offers from companies such as Thermo Fisher Scientific, MKS Instruments, Intel, Lockheed Martin Corporation and Lawrence Livermore National Labs. The average annualized compensation was $74,500.
