Reporting Other Resources and Scholarships

As a recipient of financial aid you are required to report all educational resources to the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships. Examples of assistance that must be reported are:

  • Graduate Teaching Fellowship tuition remission
  • Scholarships
  • Stipends
  • Grants
  • Employer tuition support
  • University of Oregon staff tuition rates
  • Resident Assistant housing remission and stipend
  • Etc.

The combination of these resources and your other financial aid typically cannot exceed the amount of your total estimated expenses.

Some types of assistance are not awarded in the spring and may not be known until after the school year begins. However, you are required to report the names and amounts of all types of educational assistance must be reported as soon as you are aware of them.

The amount of funding from these sources is reported on your financial aid award letter as Other Financial Resources. To avoid having to repay all or a portion of your financial aid during the academic year, provide the source and amount of any funds you are or will be receiving to assist with your educational expenses.

To report your other resources or scholarships, send an email to the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships that gives the names and amounts of each type of assistance that you receive.
