If you are unsure of what classes you need to take next quarter, visit with your advisor so they can help you make a plan. Once you know the classes you need, find out if they are going to be offered next term and at what times, and then put together your dream schedule. Unfortunately, you are not guaranteed your dream schedule, so it is important that you have some back-up classes to take that will still help you work toward your degree.
You do not want to find yourself in a situation where you are taking classes that are not helping you work toward your goals—plus, you would be wasting money! If you can’t get into a class you want, put your name on the waitlist. You will receive an email when a spot opens up, and you then have 24 hours to register for the class. By registering on time and leaving yourself options, you are ensuring the best chance of getting the schedule you want.
