General University Scholarships are awarded on the basis of scholastic achievement, and selection is highly competitive. They are made possible by the generous contributions of many individuals to the University of Oregon.
Award Information
Awards vary between $1,000 - $3,600. This scholarship is awarded for one year at a time only.
Eligibility Requirements
Consideration is based on a holistic review of the application for admission.
How to Apply
No separate application is required. Simply:
- Apply for admission by January 15.
Selection Criteria
Holistic admission application review includes a review of coursework/course rigor, grades and grade trends, activities/involvement, personal statement, optional recommendations, and optional test scores.
Scholarship Renewal
General University Scholarships are awarded for one year only. Students are encouraged to reapply each year.
Award Notification
First-year student recipients will be notified by April 1.
