The Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships holds several workshops throughout the scholarship application season to assist students in their scholarship hunt. For help finding and competing for scholarships and tips on how to write essays for scholarships, attend one or both of these sessions. If you plan to attend a session, please RSVP.

Session I – The Great Scholarship Search

Learn how to plan a strategic scholarship search and get insight into where to find additional opportunities outside of the UO. We will help you set up scholarship profiles with the UO's Scholarship Dashboard. Get a jump start your scholarship search and leave with an action plan in hand. Bring your laptop and be prepared to start searching.

Session II – Scholarship Tips and Writing Techniques

Learn to develop your own story. Find out what scholarship committees are looking for in a scholarship essay. Plus learn other tips and strategies that help you highlight your strengths. After this session, you should feel more confident in your ability to articulate your story for your scholarship essay. Bring your laptop or pen and paper and be prepared to brainstorm ideas!
