Logan Scholarship Program

Established by the late Jane and Roscoe "Rock" Logan, the Logan Scholarship program was established to benefit financially needy students seeking a degree in education with the intention to teach in public schools. The scholarship will provide funding to nearly 100 undergraduate attending the University of Oregon each year.

Award Information

The Logan Scholarship offers $6,000 annually to incoming first-year pre-education majors, with the award split evenly over the fall, winter, and spring terms.

How to Apply

No separate application is required. Simply:

  • Apply for admission to the University of Oregon by January 15.
  • Submit all required admission application materials to the Office of Admission by February 15.
  • Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 1 and list the UO as one of your school choices (federal school code 003223.
    • Note: Dreamer students (DACA, TPS, or other undocumented) should submit the Oregon Student Aid Application (ORSAA) by March 1 if they are ineligible for the FASFA.

Scholarship Renewal

Maintain a 3.00 cumulative UO GPA and complete 12 UO credits per term (36 UO credits per year).

  • Logan Scholarships are renewable for up to 12 academic terms (excluding summer) within a five-year period, or 15 academic terms within a six-year period for students seeking a BLA, BIARC, or BARCH degree
  • Unused terms are forfeited if you graduate early.
