The following are the terms and conditions of PathwayOregon at the University of Oregon.
Before You Enroll at the UO
- Register for full-time enrollment (12 or more UO credits) for the fall term of your entering year.
- Complete all courses required for admission to the UO.
Renewal Criteria
Your renewal is evaluated annually at the end of each spring term. To renew, you must:
- Complete the FAFSA each year by March 1.
- Remain eligible for the Federal Pell Grant.
- Complete any additional financial aid verification requirements by Friday of week two of fall term.
- Register for full-time enrollment (12 or more UO credits) each term by the Financial Aid Census date (the last day to add a class).
- Meet Satisfactory Academic Program (SAP) standards
Covering Your Tuition and Fees
PathwayOregon covers your tuition and fees through a combination of federal grants, state grants, and university grants and scholarships. Financial Aid disburses at the beginning of each term to full-time, eligible students. If there are any remaining tuition and fee costs immediately following the last day to add classes, those costs will be covered at that time.
Housing and Other Expenses
PathwayOregon covers 100 percent of tuition and fees. Expenses for housing, food, books, etc. are not covered.
Length of Scholarship
You may have up to 12 academic terms for undergraduate study. Your 12 terms of eligibility must be used within five years of your first disbursement. Students enrolled in a five-year degree program may be eligible for up to 15 academic terms of undergraduate study, to be used within six years of the first disbursement. These degree programs include BIArch (interior architecture and BArch (architecture).
Impact of Other Scholarships
If you are the recipient of additional institutional scholarships or stipends, or scholarships from outside providers, your PathwayOregon amount may be adjusted. You may not receive more than your full cost of attendance between all aid sources combined.
Dual Enrollment
PathwayOregon recipients are not eligible for the UO Dual Enrollment program. Students who are interested in taking credits simultaneously at the UO and another college or university should consult with a PathwayOregon advisor or a financial aid counselor at the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships.
Study Abroad
PathwayOregon can be applied to study abroad programs through Global Education Oregon (GEO). PathwayOregon will cover a study abroad amount equivalent to 15 credits at the UO and is comprised of Federal, State, and UO awards. This amount will not increase in the event study abroad program costs exceed the equivalent of 15 credits.
Summer Courses
PathwayOregon does not cover tuition and fees summer term.
Final Term of Attendance
During your final term of attendance at the UO prior to graduation, you may have that term’s PathwayOregon for less-than-full-time enrollment, if you have officially applied for graduation for that term and are enrolled in at least six credits. You must contact the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships to specifically request disbursement of your PathwayOregon for less-than-full-time enrollment in your final term of attendance.
