John T. Fields & Associates, LLC Fight Against Domestic Violence Scholarship

John T. Fields & Associates, LLC is proud to announce the launch of our Fight Against Domestic Violence Scholarship program! Our goal is to raise awareness about the dangers of domestic violence and help students who have experienced or witnessed abuse access higher education. We will award one winner with a $2,000 scholarship that may be used for tuition and related expenses.

2023 Law Offices of Daniel Kim – Fall Scholarship

We have seen many of our clients, whose lives were impacted by an accident, recover and go on to lead lives of change in their communities. This has inspired us to assist local students and help them achieve their goals with The Law Offices of Daniel Kim Scholarship. The $2,500 scholarship will be awarded to one qualified student who is currently attending or is planning to attend college or graduate school.

Women in Tech Scholarship

The Empowering Women in Tech Essay Scholarship, sponsored by Designli, awards $3,000 to a female student in the United States pursuing a degree related to technology or business. Applicants should submit a 1,000-word essay discussing the importance of women leaders and entrepreneurs in the technology industry. Designli is excited to invest in young women, regardless of their cultural, economic, or educational backgrounds. Any female high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student from the U.S. is eligible to apply.

NSF Science Pathways

Oregon Pathways to Industry Research Careers (OPIRC) is a $4.3M National Science Foundation grant that will support 64 students with financial need as they move through community college to high-wage science and engineering careers. Students may qualify for up to $45,000 in scholarships over the course of 4 years, with eligibility beginning their final year at community college, continuing through their pursuit of a bachelor’s in physics, chemistry or biochemistry at University of Oregon, and finally while pursuing an industry-focused master’s through the UO Knight Campus Graduate Internship Program (KCGIP). In addition to scholarships, students will have access to: - Career and academic mentoring. - Community-building activities. - Professional networking opportunities. The final stage of OPIRC, enrollment in the KCGIP, leads directly to industry employment through a 9-month paid industry internship within the manufacturing, high-tech and healthcare fields (specifically: semiconductors, optics, polymers, sensors, and bioinformatics). The 2022 cohort received offers from companies such as Thermo Fisher Scientific, MKS Instruments, Intel, Lockheed Martin Corporation and Lawrence Livermore National Labs. The average annualized compensation was $74,500.

American Indian Graduate Center Scholarships

A number of scholarship opportunities can be found through AIGC for both undergraduate and graduate students. Award criteria, deadlines, and amounts vary. Tribal Eligibility Certificate (TEC) and FAFSA application required for most. AIGC Mission: “We provide financial support for American Indians and Alaska Natives seeking higher education, and support them in attaining undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees. We partner with Tribes, the federal government, foundations, corporations, and individuals to ensure the growth and sustainability of scholarships.” AIGC Vision: “Building on a 50-year legacy, AIGC will continue to be the premier national resource in funding and empowering the next generation of Native leaders across all sectors, by meeting the unmet need of every Native American student.”

UNCF Scholarship Programs

UNCF scholarships, programs, internships and fellowships website: UNCF manages various scholarship programs and each program has its own eligibility criteria, open/close dates and required documentation. To apply for a UNCF scholarship, you must apply through the on-line application process. As many of the UNCF scholarships require that the scholarship recipient apply for Federal Student Aid, it is recommended that applicants complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
