American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) Scholarships

The mission of AISES is to increase the representation of American Indians in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and one of the ways we meet this mission is to provide non need-based scholarships and internships to qualified Native students in higher education.

Pacific Northwest Gold Star Scholarship

The scholarship is for students who: 1. Lost a parent who served in the U.S. armed forces in support of the Global War on Terrorism (2001 to present). 2. Meet either of the following criteria: - Current or prior residents of Clark, Cowlitz, or Skamania County, WA. (or) - The deceased parent had once lived in one of those counties. 3. Are pursuing post-secondary education at public or private nonprofit colleges, universities, or vocational schools in the United States that are eligible to participate in the federal student financial aid program.

The Right to Trial Scholarship Contest

One winner will be awarded a $1,000 one-time scholarship for their essay focused on the right to trial by jury.

Prevounce Preventive Health Scholarship Program

There are two scholarships available for the 2021-2022 academic year. One (1) scholarship valued at $1,000 will be awarded to an undergraduate student (individuals entering or in an undergraduate program) pursuing a career in healthcare. One (1) scholarship valued at $1,500 will be awarded to a graduate student pursuing a career in medicine, nursing, and/or public health.

The Skanner Foundation Scholarship

The application requires an essay in response to one of three questions posed in the application, as well as 20 certified community service hours and 2 letters of reference from non-family members. Applications are due July 15 for renewing recipients or October 8 for new applicants.
