Logan Scholarship Program

Established by the late Jane and Roscoe "Rock" Logan, the Logan Scholarship program was established to benefit financially needy students seeking a degree in education with the intention to teach in public schools. The scholarship will provide funding to nearly 100 undergraduate attending the University of Oregon each year.

Award Information

The Logan Scholarship offers $6,000 annually to incoming first-year pre-education majors, with the award split evenly over the fall, winter, and spring terms.

Stamps Scholarship

The Stamps Scholarship—the University of Oregon’s most prestigious and generous undergraduate scholarship—is awarded to exceptional incoming domestic first-year students in partnership with the Stamps Scholars Program. This highly competitive, merit-based scholarship is awarded to approximately 20 students each year—10 Oregon residents and 10 out-of-state students.

Staton Scholarship

The Staton Scholarship Program, established by Bernice Ingalls Staton in 2001, helps students pursue their education without financial hardship. Each year, approximately 12 Robert W. and Bernice Ingalls Staton Scholarships are awarded to incoming Oregon first-year students with exceptional financial need.

Award Information

For the 2024-2025 academic year, Staton Scholars received $7,150 annually, renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study. The award is evenly distributed across the fall, winter, and spring terms.

National Merit Scholarship

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), in conjunction with the UO, awards merit scholarships to selected academically talented high school seniors for undergraduate studies at the University of Oregon.

Award Information

Prospective first-year students named College-Sponsored Finalists and who list the University of Oregon as their "first choice" on the NMSC Scholarship Application are eligible for an $8,000 National Merit Scholarship. The award provides $2,000 per year, renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study.

Presidential Scholarship

Presidential Scholarships are highly competitive awards given to exceptional incoming first-year students from Oregon. Each year, approximately 50 first-year students receive this prestigious scholarship through a selective process. These scholarships are made possible by the generous contributions of donors to the University of Oregon scholarship fund.

Presidential Scholars receive up to $36,000 over four years of undergraduate study—$9,000 per year (split evenly over fall, winter, and spring terms).
