Interested candidates are to write a policy brief to their Congressperson or local politician detailing the gaps in the current food policy and why increased regulations will help reduce the risk for developing cancer due to carcinogens’ consumption.
To enter students are to write an essay of 1,000 words on the following subject:
“What does your community mean to you? Discuss your commitment to both your school and the larger community. Provide examples of ways that you have benefited from and helped enrich the communities in which you are involved. This can include helping those who are injured or in need of assistance, volunteer work, tutoring, etc.”.
This scholarship aims to recognize and support exceptional students who are overcoming the barriers of being the first in their families to attend college.
