How to Save Money at Your Local Coffee Shop

Risha S.

Do you love coffee? Do you go out for coffee in the morning more than twice a week? If you do, make sure to ask them about any incentives that they have. Some coffee shops have punch cards, others you can go online to register a gift card. By doing this you could possibly save on things such as FREE flavors, FREE espresso shots, FREE soy, FREE refills on drip coffee, or maybe even a FREE drink for your birthday. More...

Doesn’t seem like much savings? Say you order a double 12 oz soy, vanilla latté 3 times a week. By asking your barista you might be able to get on a program that could save you 60 cents for soy, 75 cents for an extra shot and 60 cents for the flavoring depending on the coffee shop you visit. That could be a $1.95 every time you order, $5.85 every week and $304 every year you could be saving just by asking for their incentives.

Remember, this would be FREE money you could be saving, you don’t have to change your drink to make it cheaper. If you pay with cash or a credit card think about loading money onto a gift card and using that so you can control the amount of money you spend on coffee drinks every week or every month!
