The Barnes Firm College Scholarships

Justice in Family Law Scholarship

We are offering The Law Office of George J. Skuros Justice in Family Law Scholarship to a current or aspiring law student who wants to bring positive change to family law practice and policy. The award, in the amount of $1,000, can be applied to tuition and other educational expenses at the college, university, or law school where the recipient is enrolled.

Shlesinger & deVilleneuve Attorneys Scholastic Scholarships

The S&D High School Senior $1,000 Scholarship will be awarded to a high school student currently enrolled or planning to attend a college, university, trade school, or vocational school. The $1,000 scholarship will be payable to the winner’s school of attendance.The S&D College Student $1,500 Scholarship will be awarded to a currently enrolled college student attending a 2-year or 4-year institution, or a student who is currently attending graduate school or will be in Fall 2025. The $1,500 will be payable to the winner’s school of attendance.

MKFM Resilient Student Scholarship

The MKFM Resilient Student Scholarship, worth $1,500, seeks to award students who have endured the difficulties of having parents who divorce.

● Selection Criteria: You are a citizen or permanent resident of the United States., Your parents are either divorced or unmarried., You are enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at an accredited college or university for the Spring 2025 or Fall 2025 semester.

Aging Matters Scholarship

A $1500 scholarship will be given annually to a selected college student that currently cares for an aging loved one, works within the senior community, or intends to pursue a career that will have an impact on the elder population.

● Selection Criteria: An existing college student or incoming freshman (to be enrolled in the Fall of 2025 in good academic standing)

The Stuckey Firm Scholarship

The Stuckey Firm Scholarship asks students to think critically about a jury’s influence on injury cases. We want students to create videos detailing their opinions on whether injury cases’ juries should be larger or more restricted.

Geraldine Stephenson Scholarship

Students who are seeking a medically-related education and have had their higher education interrupted for an extended period of at least five years or more, or have been unable to complete their education due to hardship.

● Financial Need: Yes
● Selection Criteria: Must be seeking a medically-related education, Must have have recently returned to an accredited vocational, community, or four-year college after a significant interruption of at least five years due to hardship, Must be currently enrolled in a medically-related field of study in the state of Oregon

Children of Injured Workers Scholarship

At Hoggatt Injury Law, we are passionate about supporting workers and their families whose lives have been affected by work-related injuries. We know that workplace injuries can have far-reaching financial ramifications, including when it comes to a family’s ability to provide for their children’s educational expenses. We hope to help families address this challenge by offering a scholarship to the child of an employee who has been injured or killed in a work-related accident.
