Your financial aid application was selected for review in a process called verification for the 2023-24 academic year. The university has the right to review this information prior to awarding federal aid (34 CFR, Part 668). If corrections are necessary, we will notify the federal processors and send you a revised offer of financial aid indicating any changes in aid eligibility.
Student's Amended Tax Return
Tax filers who have amended their 2021 IRS tax return (e.g. corrections made to the 2021 tax return using Form 1040X) must send our office both:
- a signed copy of the 2021 IRS Form 1040 and Schedules 1-3 (if filed), or the 2021 IRS Tax Return Transcript, or successfully use the Data Retrieval Tool (DRT)
- a signed copy of the 2021 IRS Form 1040X that was filed with the IRS
22-23 Verification
If you were selected for verification for the 2022-23 academic year, the instructions above are applicable to 2022-2023 for the 2020 tax year. If you did not file taxes in 2020, contact our office for information on what documentation to provide.
