The Barnes Firm College Scholarships

Scholarship winners will be selected based on academic achievements, community involvement and an essay. Each winner will receive $5,000 towards tuition at an accredited law school for the Fall 2025 academic enrollment period. See more details below.

Justice in Family Law Scholarship

We are offering The Law Office of George J. Skuros Justice in Family Law Scholarship to a current or aspiring law student who wants to bring positive change to family law practice and policy. The award, in the amount of $1,000, can be applied to tuition and other educational expenses at the college, university, or law school where the recipient is enrolled.

The Space to Succeed Scholarship

The Space to Succeed Scholarship from The Storage Center aims to empower students who actively contribute to their communities and aspire to pursue higher education.

White Memorial Scholarship

Established by Alice & Mason White and administered by Oregon Pacific Bank, the White Memorial Scholarship Fund supports Oregon high school graduates in their pursuit of higher education.

● Financial Need: Yes
● Selection Criteria: Must be a graduate of an Oregon high school, Must be entering their junior or senior year at an Oregon college/university, Must have active participation in at least one-school related activity.

Oregon Pacific Bank Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 1981 to encourage and recognize outstanding high school seniors in our communities. We award one scholarship for the amount of $2000 to applicants in the current year graduating class in the following schools or geographic areas: 
  • Siuslaw/Mapleton
  • Douglas County
  • Coos County
  • Jackson County
  • Eugene/Springfield
  • Tigard/Tualatin

Supporting Prisoners’ Families Scholarship

Each semester, Pullan & Young aims to help these students achieve their educational goals and reach their full potential. This $1000 scholarship will be awarded to one student per semester.

Flora Marie Jenkins Memorial Disability Scholarship

This nationally-based scholarship awards money to aspiring individuals with disabilities who wish to further their education.

Inspired Learners Scholarship

The Serafini Law Inspired Learner Scholarship recognizes this powerful connection between individuals and the impact of mentorship and advice.

Frances & Earl Perry Memorial Veterans Scholarship.

This nationally-based scholarship supports aspiring veterans, and children of veterans, who wish to further their education at the college or university level.

● Selection Criteria: Hold U.S. Veteran status having served honorably OR, Be an unmarried child (under 24 years of age) who is a dependent

​Hearts for Hospice Scholarship Program

The mission of Hearts for Hospice is to support:
  • Non-profit hospice and palliative care programs
  • Grief programs for children and adults
  • Education about hospice and end-of-life concerns

Shlesinger & deVilleneuve Attorneys Scholastic Scholarships

The S&D High School Senior $1,000 Scholarship will be awarded to a high school student currently enrolled or planning to attend a college, university, trade school, or vocational school. The $1,000 scholarship will be payable to the winner’s school of attendance.The S&D College Student $1,500 Scholarship will be awarded to a currently enrolled college student attending a 2-year or 4-year institution, or a student who is currently attending graduate school or will be in Fall 2025. The $1,500 will be payable to the winner’s school of attendance.

Champions of Justice Scholarship

We recognize that pursuing higher education is expensive, so we hope our scholarship provides helpful financial assistance to students with a passion for justice.

● Selection Criteria: You are a permanent resident or citizen of the United States., You are or will be attending an accredited college or university for the Spring 2025 semester.

Uplifting Communities Scholarship

In line with this mission, we are proud to offer the Uplifting Communities Scholarship. This $1,500 award is available to undergraduates and graduates of any major and aims to support individuals dedicated to uplifting underserved communities.

MKFM Resilient Student Scholarship

The MKFM Resilient Student Scholarship, worth $1,500, seeks to award students who have endured the difficulties of having parents who divorce.

● Selection Criteria: You are a citizen or permanent resident of the United States., Your parents are either divorced or unmarried., You are enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at an accredited college or university for the Spring 2025 or Fall 2025 semester.

Aging Matters Scholarship

A $1500 scholarship will be given annually to a selected college student that currently cares for an aging loved one, works within the senior community, or intends to pursue a career that will have an impact on the elder population.

● Selection Criteria: An existing college student or incoming freshman (to be enrolled in the Fall of 2025 in good academic standing)

Geraldine Stephenson Scholarship

Students who are seeking a medically-related education and have had their higher education interrupted for an extended period of at least five years or more, or have been unable to complete their education due to hardship.

The Future of Communication Scholarship

Chanty, a platform focused on enhancing collaboration in remote and hybrid work environments. The Future of Communication Scholarship invites students to submit innovative ideas for improving digital team communication.

The Next Swell Scholarship

The Next Swell was created in part for the purpose of providing financial academic scholarships to exceptional students pursuing research and/or a degree in a marine science or marine conservation focused area. We will be awarding multiple scholarships of $5,000 for the 2025-2026 academic year. Scholarships are merit-based and will be awarded to the most qualified applicants who display a passion for marine conservation.

Murphy & McKinney Law Firm, P.C. Criminal Justice Scholarship

The Murphy & McKinney Law Firm, P.C. Criminal Justice Scholarship provides recipients with an award of $1,000 to use toward their tuition fees and educational expenses.
